About our Company:

Ponte Family Estate Winery opened in 2003 and is a California based company operating in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country. We have been farming our vineyards since 1984 and are a real working winery, growing and producing over 20 estate grown varietals within certified sustainable facilities.

We are located right next to our Four Diamond, 90 room, boutique hotel Ponte Vineyard Inn, and are surrounded by 300-acres of mature vineyards and views of rolling hills. We are a short drive from most of Southern California and enjoy hosting folks who want a break from city life. Our guests visit us seeking a relaxing day or overnight stay in the country.

We have become the benchmark for great service among Temecula wineries. Our associates are dedicated to delighting guests by providing excellent hospitality and serving great wine and food in a beautiful environment.


Summary:

The Server will provide a positive dining experience with friendly attentive service in a professional manner. To serve guests efficiently by following all restaurant standards of service and etiquette to exceed guests’ expectations.


Compensation: $16.00 hourly + Tips


Hours of Operation: Wednesday - Sunday, 11:00AM - 7:00 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner and respond to guest requests promptly.
  • Be knowledgeable about menu items to inform guests and make suggestions accordingly.
  • Take and process orders in Micros with detailed information and special preparations.
  • Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Pre-bus tables throughout each course to provide proper service requirements.
  • Maintain an organized work environment and overall cleanliness of the restaurant.
  • Process payments accurately in micros and follow proper cash handling procedures.
  • Thank guests for dining with us and invite departing guests to return again.
  • Be willing to support fellow servers, runners, buses and hosts in a team environment.
  • Complete closing side work in preparation for the next business day.
  • Follow all Restaurant standards of service to achieve consistent customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe work area and ensure the safety of guests and associates.
  • Execute any tasks as requested by management.
  • Understand and adhere to the Ponte values and service standards.
  • Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Must have the ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
  • Must exhibit integrity; honesty and truthfulness.
  • Must be able to work varying schedules, includes weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a tray weighing up to 40 lbs through a crowded patio.
  • Must have exceptional grooming standards consistent with company guidelines.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Riverside County food handler’s card.
  • Must have the ability to obtain an ABC Responsible Beverage Service Certificate.
