Creo Drafter

Summary: Prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information for New Product Development (NPD) projects in HVAC and transportation refrigeration units.

Must Haves:

• Proficiency in Creo Parametric (Creo 4 preferred).
• Experience in sheet metal design.
• Strong skills in drawing and detailing.
• General 3D modeling capability.
• Assembly management proficiency.
• Ability to work onsite as required by project teams.

Nice to Haves:

• Familiarity with Windchill or similar PLM system.
• Experience in structuring and releasing BOMs.
• Knowledge of GD&T and Stackup analysis.
• Experience with Creo Simulate.
• Experience in plastic design (Surfacing).
• Familiarity with casting design.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design.

Skills and Competencies:

• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and principles involved in precision technical plans.
• Knowledge of engineering science and technology application.
• Familiarity with relevant computer applications, such as CADD.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment using CAD equipment.
• Coordinate with other workers to resolve design problems and lay out components and systems.
• Compute mathematical formulas to develop detailed specifications.
• Design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items.
• Check dimensions of materials and assign numbers to them.
• Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components and assemblies.

Pay Details: $27.00 to $36.00 per hour
