Lead Caregiver

Visiting Angels West Metro is seeking an experienced Lead Caregiver. The lead caregiver will provide one-on-one care to clients throughout Minneapolis and the west metro. Our ideal candidate demonstrates high levels of compassion, patience, determination and a capacity to work independently. 

Visiting Angels provides three levels of care - Companion, Basic and Comprehensive. The lead caregiver will be required to provide cares to clients at all levels of care. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, bathing, grooming, hygiene, meal planning and preparation and light housekeeping. Housekeeping tasks may include laundry, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping. The lead caregiver will be expected to provide help with transportation and running errands for and/or with clients.

Visiting Angels will guarantee 36 hours of pay per pay week regardless of if all hours are worked. In return for guaranteed pay, the lead caregiver will be expected to be available between 7:00am and 10:00pm for shifts of no less than 4 hours and no more than 12 hours per day. You may be required to work more than one shift per day. You must be willing and available to pick up a shift within 2 hours of notification. The lead caregiver can expect to work every other Saturday and Sunday. You can expect to have either Fridays or Mondays off.

Visiting Angels West Metro services Minneapolis and the western suburbs. Our clients live in places including, but not limited to Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Wayzata, St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Chaska, Prior Lake and Shakopee. The lead caregiver must be willing and prepared to service any client in our service territory.

Requirements:

High school diploma preferred.
Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report.
Must obtain a TB test with a negative result
Must have a driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
