Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Prop Maker to join MacGuffin Makers on a long-term contractor basis. As an integral part of our creative team, you will collaborate closely with designers and project managers to produce props that elevate the visual storytelling of our projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail to contribute to our diverse portfolio of work.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the design team to understand project requirements and conceptualize prop designs that align with the artistic vision of each production.
- Utilize a variety of materials and techniques, including woodworking, 3D printing, CNC, sculpting, molding, casting, painting, and finishing, to create props of exceptional quality and authenticity.
- Manage your own workflow and schedule to meet project deadlines and production timelines effectively.
- Collaborate with fellow contractors and production staff to ensure seamless integration of props into larger builds.
- Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship, paying close attention to detail and ensuring that all props meet safety and durability requirements.
- Continuously explore new techniques, materials, and technologies to enhance prop-making processes and capabilities.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a prop maker in a professional setting, with a strong portfolio showcasing your craftsmanship and creative abilities.
- Proficiency in at least one or multiple prop-making techniques including carpentry, model making, sculpting, molding, casting, painting, and finishing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of projects with varying themes, styles, and requirements.
- Knowledge of industry-standard safety practices and regulations related to prop making.
- Availability to work on-site at our production facilities or remotely, as needed.
