Millwright-Turbine Mechanic

FTS Reliant is looking for 5 experienced Turbine Mechanics for a long term role with our #1 client in Houston, TX.

Plenty of OT, great managers, and a great long term company to work for!

Role: Disassemble, clean, inspect, reassemble turbomachinery

Shift: Swing (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights) Typically 60-70 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Ideally a shop oriented turbine/compressor mechanic
• Comfortable with disassembling and reassembling engines and other complex components.
• Willing to work a heavy workload and weekends.
• Able to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
• Own basic hand tools, impacts, indicators, small diameter mics. Willing to purchase net of whatever is needed to be successful for their craft.
• Good with numbers and documentation
• Safety oriented and team focus.

• This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. The contract last 1040 hours (around 5 months) but the client has the option to buyout the contract early.

• Wage depends heavily on Turbomachinery Experience, but the likely range is $30-$36/hr. starting out. There is plenty of OT available.
• After being brought on full-time, this position is eligible for a bump in pay, benefits, and double pay on Sundays.

Salary: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
