As a Community RN, you are more than a healthcare provider; you're an integral part of enhancing the lives of those we serve. Your role acts as a bridge, connecting individuals with developmental disabilities to their communities and ensuring they receive comprehensive and compassionate care.

Position Overview:

The Community Registered Nurse (RN) for ABiLITY plays a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities receiving residential services. This role involves overseeing medication administration, managing delegated nursing tasks, and monitoring the overall health status of our clients. The RN provides supervision to unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring compliance with healthcare protocols and maintaining accurate documentation of all nursing activities.

Our commitment to excellence includes maintaining 24/7 staffing across all residential homes with direct support professionals (DSPs), who are directly managed by Residential Service Managers and Program Coordinators. This RN position is not a managerial role.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Active RN license issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
  • Experience in working with adults with developmental disabilities and community services preferred
  • Have or able to obtain (We'll assist and support you through the simple process to get certified): Certifications as a Level 1 Medication Aide and Insulin Administration Instructor.
  • Proficiency in communication tools, including telephone, computer, and relevant software.
  • Reliable transportation for on-site visits and ability to navigate physical barriers.

This position demands a dedicated and compassionate individual capable of providing excellent nursing care, ensuring compliance with healthcare protocols, and maintaining effective communication within the team and with the agency's management. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial to meet the diverse needs of clients while adhering to established policies and procedures.
