Welder

MIG/TIG Welders – Minneapolis

2nd shift M-T 10am-8pm

Full-Time position, overtime occasionally required

Wage-$20 hr + DOE

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, operates a manual welder and inspects/ensures the production of quality parts.

Requirements:

· Ability to visualize and interpret blue prints and sketches

· Manufacture quality parts by referring to the provided drawings

· Ability to use the basic inspection equipment (calipers, height gauge, etc.) to be able to inspect parts being produced by the individual

· Ability to produce quality welds

· Ability to acknowledge problems with equipment and be able to get the correct individual involved

· Maintain a clean and safe work area for efficient operation

Experience and Skills Required:

· Welding Certificate

· At least two years of welding and other related mechanical and shop experience preferred which includes the following skills and abilities:

· Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

· Knowledge of basic welding

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of the job, employees are occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
