Summary:


The Regional Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting customer acquisition and retention efforts via direct, offline and online marketing channels. This position will develop and maintain an effective relationship with local leaders and government officials. Additionally, this position must develop and maintain relationships with internal Vexus staff including the Regional VP, General Managers, Regional Sales Managers and local teams. This role requires someone who lives within the market. Regional marketing area includes West Texas from San Angelo, Abilene and Wichita Falls – including communities around and between these locations like Denison, Colorado City, Burkburnett and Iowa Park.

The main function of the Regional Marketing Coordinator is directing and executing residential and commercial marketing plans and strategies. He/she is responsible for the coordination and execution of marketing department special events, as well as maintaining annual budgets. This position also works closely with corporate marketing to execute and implement company-wide strategy and public relations. 

 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Research, plan, coordinate and execute participation in festivals, promotions and special events. This may include community events, launch parties, neighborhood rollouts, business expos and employee appreciation. This includes travel to and from the events, setup, promotion, break down and coordinating all materials and staff.
  • Work closely with Regional VP, General Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Sales and Marketing, Marketing Director and other regional marketing staff across all systems to ensure all employees and retail stores have appropriate information on marketing and media plans.
  • Assist in tracking competitor product and marketing activity, providing timely updates and analysis of opportunities and threats.
  • Create and maintain relationships with media and local partners, such as Chamber, Economic Development, volunteer organizations, professional organizations, etc. in locally assigned areas. And ensure local teams have visibility into events or information pertinent to the overall success of Vexus.
  • Act as the face of Vexus in the market area, always looking to build relationships and drive company growth.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation by reviewing previous year’s performance, engagement, and campaign results. Provide recommendations for all budgeted media and events. Track and operate within expense budgets.
  • Weekly status updates to the marketing team, including Regional VPs and General Managers.
  • Supervise and coordinate local marketing tactics and presence in surrounding communities. This includes observing and photographing all media and events in the market.
  • Support various projects assigned by the Regional VP, General Manager and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Coordinate production and distribution of sales materials, print collateral, promotional items to be used at marketing events, internal quick reference guides, and installation kits to be handed out to newly installed customers.

  • Solid computer and technical skills including a strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications and social media.
  • Aptitude for organization and setting priorities to successfully manage time and workload while working independently or with a team. Excellent follow-through.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent strategic and creative thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Up to 75% travel is required, including overnights. Events may include early, late, holiday or weekend attendance. 


Education/Experience:


  • College degree and one to three years or more of marketing experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training are preferred.
  • Special events administrative/development experience preferred, marketing or advertising experience a plus including ISP or telecom experience. 

 

Computer Skills:


  • Word processing, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet software, E-mail, Social Media, Automation, Database software. Graphic design software experience is a plus but not required.


 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent writing, spelling, grammar and editing skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Proactive problem-solver who knows when to “raise the flag” for senior support/guidance.

  • Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license and ability to maintain good driving record.
