Job Description
Stallant Health is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technician to join our team on a part-time or PRN (as needed) basis. Radiology Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to radiation protection standards.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, providing clear instructions to ensure accurate and effective results.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, and assist radiologists in image interpretation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and support to patients.
- Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to stay current with advances in radiologic technology and practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Valid state license as a Radiology Technician, where applicable.
- Previous experience in radiology or a similar role, preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of radiologic safety and protection principles.
- Proficiency in using various types of radiologic equipment and technology.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain procedures to patients clearly and compassionately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
