Job Title: Facility and Event Attendant

Department: Parks and Recreation

Reports To: Recreation Facilities Reservation Manager

FLSA Status: non-exempt

SUMMARY Keeps premises of all Recreation facilities in clean and orderly condition. Provides set up, tear down, and support for events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Support team members by completing daily tasks.
  2. Sets up rooms, tables, equipment, coffee, etc. in accordance with patron requests within rules and capabilities of the center.
  3. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms and other work areas.
  4. Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, floor surfaces, and trim.
  5. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, vacuums and polishes floor.
  6. Cleans carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, blinds and folding doors.
  7. Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Mops floors.
  8. Empties waste baskets, removes trash and takes out garbage daily. Use blower
  9. to clean outside of facility when necessary.
  10. Keeps kitchen clean at all times to pass Health Department inspection and have a thorough knowledge of the use of all kitchen equipment and kitchen rules.
  11. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replaces light bulbs.
  12. Assist bar staff as necessary.
  13. Ability to run sound and lights on a limited basis.
  14. Set up PowerPoint, projector, and computer.
  15. Ability to run kitchen equipment as needed.
  16. May be required to drive POA vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting POA business.
  17. Regular attendance is required.
  18. Any other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  19. Deliver outstanding customer service, making every effort to accommodate customer needs.
  20. Ensure the safety of patrons and staff through accident prevention and safety policy, enforcing all facility and recreation location rules and regulations.
  21. Have a thorough knowledge of rules, regulations, and operational use with regard to POA amenity use.
  22. Maintain a safe, clean amenity/facility at all times.
  23. Report to supervisor any safety materials needed or maintenance concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Employee must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays and be able to work independently without supervision.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in building maintenance. Must have experience or willing to learn the use of audio-visual equipment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Requires a valid Arkansas driver’s license and a clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
