Position Summary

The Public Safety & Regulatory Specialist contributes to public safety through the planning, scheduling and/or execution of the annual General Order (GO) 165 and/or 95 patrol, inspection, and/or corrective maintenance program. Incumbents perform day-to-day activities such as work verification of standards, proper documentation, tag preparation and receipt, including delivering regular metrics reporting through SAP, and other department systems. Primary functions will include administrative and clerical support.

This position will be based out of Redding, CA.

This position will be primarily reporting in-person daily.

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $38.94 to $61.06

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains pre-established filing system of the overhead, underground inspection, and patrol records and completed electric preventative corrective maintenance (EPCM) tags.
  • Reviews and signs electric corrective (EC) tags. Keeps accurate and up to date records of the overhead, underground inspection, and patrol schedule, detailing books for each district. Keeps working file of all tags to be estimated and assists in getting short term engineering tags to the RMC.
  • Maintains current knowledge of General Order 165 from the department manual and applies the order to day-to-day work activities. Follows procedures and outlined orders in the Electric Distribution Preventative Maintenance Manual (EDPM) for day-to-day workload.
  • Identifies and manages all types of orders in SAP system associated with all BF & BG work compliance.
  • Prepares packages for overhead, underground inspection, and patrol. Prints out the correct log in SAP, prepares tags and reports for that particular map, and folds and stamps correct map for inspector use.
  • Logs annual inspection maps, forecasting work for the district for the next two years.
  • Ensures appropriate documentation of EC tags. Enters correct fields, work type codes.
  • Participates in the annual funding allocations process for units and dollars with program managers working on various maintenance and construction programs. Manages and tracks costs, looking at trends and unit costs throughout the year.
  • Performs regular and ad hoc reporting on tag activity, annual GO 165 report, etc. Regularly queries database to ensure accuracy of tag records.
  • Provides training and guidance for department clerical group and supports other regular training.
  • Daily check in's throughout assigned work area
  • 50% travel to assigned areas.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School or GED
  • 3 years related business experience
  • Experience working with the SAP Work Management and Financial Program
