Job Title: Director of Moulding & Millwork

Pay & FSLA Status: Competitive Compensation, D.O.E.; Salary exempt

Regular Schedule & Shift: Monday – Friday; Day shift

Regular Weekly Hours: Full-time/40 hours per week (overtime as needed)

Paid Time Off (PTO): 80 hours accrued year 1; 120 hours accrued annually after year 1

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Moulding & Millwork is a dynamic sales professional responsible for OrePac’s go-to-market strategy for moulding and millwork categories. This position is responsible for the execution of sales initiatives through collaboration with branch leadership as well as corporate marketing, supply chain, pricing, and national accounts teams. This position will report to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and plays a critical role in setting the strategic vision for the moulding and millwork categories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively manage established relationships at a top-to-top level to achieve short- and long-term goals with key foreign and domestic moulding and millwork suppliers. Attend meetings with category suppliers as necessary.
  • Possess a strong understanding of OrePac’s pricing structure for moulding and millwork. This includes goals, initiatives, pricing in various markets, and the competitive landscape, as well as OrePac’s position within the markets we operate.
  • Establish preferred vendor list for core programs with clear Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and roll these programs out across all branches when possible.
  • Locate new sources of supply while keeping abreast of changing trends in prices and availability of materials. Provide product information to staff. Recommend necessary action(s) to ensure a continued flow of materials to meet inventory and sales requirements.
  • Assist branch Product Managers in the moulding and millwork categories to develop product knowledge, customer relationships, and purchasing tools. Provide appropriate training and direction for Sales Managers and Territory Managers related to general moulding and millwork knowledge and supplier specific products.
  • Lead and participate in the development of annual strategic sales and business plans related to the moulding and millwork categories. Help define and execute the strategic vision for moulding and millwork categories.
  • Work with corporate and branch management to determine key go-to-market strategies and identify trends and products to best service key trade areas and grow market share.
  • Attend key customer meetings and events and national conferences as a key OrePac representative with branch sales management.
  • Identify opportunities for growth with new customers and new products within existing OrePac service areas.
  • Attend and participate in key OrePac management meetings.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Confident verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to write professional business correspondence as well as convey clear and concise messages to target audiences that may include executive leadership, employees, and customers.
  • Proven track record of leading and growing sales and driving results at an accelerated rate.
  • Engaging leadership style that builds and sustains credibility with staff, colleagues, and customers.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, communicate questions and concerns, effectively problem-solve, and search for creative solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to review and interpret data, speak to findings, and develop reports and presentations.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups of people consisting of employees, customers, and/or members of leadership.
  • Experience in leading teams, including the ability to effectively and efficiently handle personnel conflicts while successfully driving company and department initiatives and goals.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant sales and industry experience in a leadership position.
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be accepted in place of the education and/or experience requirements listed for this role.

  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

  • This position operates in a professional office environment.
  • This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
  • This role may travel up to 50% of the time.
