Finishing Process Engineer

One of Swoon's clients, an American industrial company specializing in lightweight metals engineering and manufacturing used worldwide, is hiring a Finishing Process Engineer to join their team!

NOTE

*This is an onsite position out of Aloca, TN, Lancaster, PA or Davenport IA.

*This is a full- time position offering~$80-120K including 401k with match, and comprehensive benefits plan

*This is a W2 only position, and candidates must be eligible to work full time, with no visa sponsorship.

The Finishing Technologist has responsibilities that include: Corporate expert on Leveling and Slitting, Web Handling Best Practice development and deployment, solving problems with global systemic and plant specific focus, driving process efficiencies through lowering costs and improving quality, training operators and other technologists, and implementing new technologies. This position reports to the Thermal and Finishing Process Manager.

Responsibilities

• Optimization of process equipment for improving quality and capacity
• Solve equipment and process problems for Finishing processes
• Drive resolution of chronic problems within area of expertise; Lead problem solving teams & organize support from other resources when necessary
• Develop and deploy best practices for the different Finishing processes, assist in identifying improvement opportunities, and facilitate technology transfer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
• 7 total years of manufacturing experience, with a minimum of 4 years in aluminum finishing
• The position requires the desire and ability to travel extensively (around 25-50%), with a portion of the travel being international
• Ability to navigate Rockwell PLC's for troubleshooting
