Immediate Direct Hire opportunity for a Instrumentation and Controls Technician to join an industry leader in the Carson City, NV area!
Supports operations in the development, deployment, service, and troubleshooting of facilities infrastructure, production equipment, and IT systems. This role will play a crucial part in the full deployment of a campus-wide SCADA system.
Salary: $53,000 - $76,000

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, calibration, and maintenance of process control system elements.
- Collaborate with a team to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and systems at the facility.
- Support troubleshooting around PLCs, learn calibration, and repair instruments and associated equipment.
- Utilize electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems.
- Gain knowledge in the installation of network components.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment.
- Record and report data, explaining test data for engineering personnel to formulate engineering design and evaluation decisions.
- Understand and observe all safety guidelines, complying with all appropriate company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a related field.
- Technical degree in Electronics or Instrumentation.
- Written and verbal command of the English language.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain accurate records.
- Able to perform duties from written and verbal instruction, schematics, diagrams, and visual aids.
- Basic knowledge of HMI or PLCs.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or C++ is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of robotics.
- Experience in installation and calibration of process control elements and electrical measurement devices.
