Information Technology Intern (Paid)

Position Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Intern works closely with IT management and provide end user support for desktop, mobile device, and systems as designated by the VP of IT. IT interns will focus on the setup and troubleshooting of various devices and systems. This is a temporary summer intern position.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy end user hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile phones, desk phones, and other peripheral devices
• Install approved software to required devices
• Assist with on site and remote technical support
• Manage service requests from end users
• Assign security permissions and access for software as needed
• Maintain excellent communication with the IT management on all tasks and projects
• Document any IT infrastructure changes and technical specifications in Change Management
• Research and identify systems problems and resolutions
• Keep supervisor advised of any system problem, hardware problem, or usage problem whereby the integrity of network and member database is compromised
• Keep supervisor advised of any on-going problems not being resolved satisfactorily or that prevents the fulfillment of responsibilities
• Provide internal and external members with excellent service and training on systems as necessary
• Follows all credit union policies and procedures, including being compliant with state and federal laws and regulation
• Reliable attendance and completion of tasks

Qualifications

• Attending a college in related field of study
• Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement effective people, time, project, and organizational management practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and to work effectively and efficiently with all levels of staff, members, and vendors.
