This position will cover areas in Bay and Arenac County.

Seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Regional Manager to cover Bay and Arenac county. This would be a great position for someone with a medical background!


Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human services field preferred.
  2. Five (5) years of experience working with persons diagnosed with Developmental Disabilities, Mental Illness or Substance Abuse.
  3. Two (2) years of experience in supervisory or administrative positions.
  4. Has knowledge and skills in program development, evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
  5. Demonstrates leadership in decision making, organization, the ability to prioritize and work independently.
  6. Medical background preferred - LPN/EMT
  7. Strong leadership and communications skills.


Pay Rate:

Salary starting at $55,068


Travel

Daily travel is required.

This position covers portions of Bay and Arenac County.

Duties

  1. Responsible for all Bay Human Services (BHS) programs operating in their assigned region.
  2. Provide direct supervision and leadership to home/program managers, provides coaching, maintains regular contact including attending staff meetings, reviewing placements, inspecting premises.
  3. Oversee hiring and personnel practices in their region, including conflict resolution, adhering to policies and practices of BHS.
  4. Monitors program budgets. Makes recommendations on fiscal needs/concerns. Assures program operation and expenditures are within budget guidelines.
  5. Participates in marketing efforts for their region including developing and maintaining marketing materials and initiating marketing contacts. Marketing activities will be coordinated with BHS administration.
  6. Attends/participates in conferences/training sponsored by Community Mental Health and others affiliates of BHS.
  7. Monitors program scheduling and staff utilization assuring proper and consistent coverage on all shifts.
  8. Conducts Home Manager evaluations. Forwards any pay recommendations of managers to the Human Resource Department.
  9. Assures that records and files are current and consistent with licensing rules, contract requirements, and BHS policy and procedures.
  10. Monitor and investigate all unusual incidents reports. Completes investigation reports for injuries reported by employees. Forwards reports to Human Resources Department.
  11. Provides training to Home Managers and Direct Support Professional staff when needed.
  12. Provides regular, documented and specific feedback about performance to program staff members, both positive and critical.
  13. Responds immediately to any possible abuse or neglect of any person served and reports action to the Residential Services Director.
  14. Receives crisis and emergency calls after work hours.
  15. Has direct supervisory authority over all staff including Home Managers.
  16. Advocates for persons served when needed.
  17. Reviews and provides written response to investigations and audits for all programs.
  18. The Regional Manager is required to be on call after normal business hours unless other arrangements have been made, a call log is required for all time spent responding to staff and consumer concerns. The call log is to be turned in each pay for time reimbursement.
