Sales Representative

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Show apartments to new and transfer applicants
• Prepare pre-closing documents.
• Prepare closing documents.
• Prepare HM 14 for DHCR
• Review all applications for completeness and for eligibility before actually showing apartment to applicant.
• Update computer system every time apartments are shown, accepted or closed upon.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience and Minimum Requirements:

• Previous work within a customer service environment with heavy customer contact.
• Patience and ability to deal with difficult situations and customers is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Applicant must be computer literate. Microsoft Office Suite
• New York State salesperson or broker’s license required.
• Valid driver’s license required (CT, NY, NJ and PA only).

Testing:

• Drug screening, as permitted by, and consistent with, applicable law.

Physical Requirements:

Persons performing service in this position classification may routinely exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This type of work will involve regular walking or standing for extended periods of time. It may involve stooping or bending. Handling and working with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.
