About this job

 As a Receiving Lead with Kelly you will play a crucial role in managing the receiving process and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in warehouse operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving of products, verifying incoming shipments, and coordinating with warehouse associates to ensure optimal productivity and accuracy. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining organized and efficient receiving procedures.


Job Specifications:

  • Job Type: Temp-to-Hire 
  • Shift: Monday- Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 am 


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receiving of products, ensuring compliance with Company standards.
  • Verify accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing information against documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing slips.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, recording and reporting any discrepancies such as shortages, overages, or damages.
  • Prepare products for sales, verifying information through Purchase Orders and Pick Tickets.
  • Ensure accurate stocking of bin locations and compliance with labeling guidelines.
  • Maintain an orderly and neat receiving area, including rotation of stock and general housekeeping.
  • Provide training to warehouse associates on receiving procedures to enhance productivity.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift after certification through an OSHA approved program.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 to 5 years of warehouse/inventory control or relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and other departments.
  • Data entry skills and good math and reading abilities.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in receiving processes.
