A startup consumer products company in LA is looking for a Senior Accountant to add to their team. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for owning the GL, doing month-end close for core businesses, and closing the books for new brands. To be responsible for this role, the Senior Accountant must be able to manage the full close, work independently, and have the desire to grow into a managerial role sometime in the near future. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Advanced Excel
- Inventory experience strongly preferred
- Experience using an ERP with a mid-sized company
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation
- Analyze cost of goods sold
- Own financial reporting
- Manage month-end close and the general ledger
- Assist with compliance and the external audit
- Variance analysis and examine budget to actuals
- Assist with process improvement initiatives
- Quick growth path to Manager
- Great mentorship and exposure to FP&A if desired
