Job Description: CNC Machinist 

Schedule:

1st Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday

2nd Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday Position Overview:

As a Metals CNC Operator at our Clearwater, Florida facility, you will be integral to our manufacturing operations, utilizing computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate precision metal components. Your role demands technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and a dedication to ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and proficiently operate CNC machines, such as lathes, mills, or routers, in accordance with provided specifications and engineering blueprints. Load raw metal materials into the CNC machine and oversee the machining process to guarantee accuracy and efficiency. Utilize precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify the dimensional accuracy of finished metal parts. Adjust machine settings and tooling as necessary to maintain optimal performance and uphold quality standards. Perform regular maintenance tasks on CNC equipment to ensure peak functionality and minimize downtime. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with machinery or tooling, collaborating closely with maintenance personnel to resolve problems promptly. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to uphold a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues. Maintain meticulous records of production metrics, including output volumes, scrap rates, and equipment maintenance logs. Effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks as needed. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding quality standards, productivity targets, and professional conduct.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in CNC machining is preferred. Demonstrated experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Familiarity with CNC programming languages, such as G-code and M-code, is advantageous. Solid mathematical aptitude and the capability to perform basic calculations and measurements accurately. Keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain stringent quality standards within narrow tolerances. Capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Physical stamina and manual dexterity to stand for extended periods and handle heavy metal materials as required. Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet production demands. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the realm of CNC machining.
