Job Description
SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing invoices through Import Manager, scanning and indexing invoices into Doc Link along with resolving any invoices that fall into various queues. Filing invoices once keyed and/or paid, along with vendor communication via telephone and email is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sort and distribute mail based on assigned letters
Process invoices through import manager within a 24 to 48 hour turn around time.
Audit invoices for proper purchase order and scan/index invoices into Doc Link.
Code utilities, H/R invoices, expense reports and check requests with General Ledger account numbers/vendor codes and enter into Doc Link.
Check all queues in Doc Link, move invoices accordingly. Post all batches in GP.
Submit checks to the Corporate Controller and/or Chief Financial Officer for review approval and signature.
File check copies once paid
Reconcile vendor statements and reply to vendor inquires via telephone and email.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter and team player.
Flexible to work over time if needed during month end close.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma
4+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
Experience with Great Plains a plus
Microsoft Office experience a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, management and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply common mathematical concepts. Basic accounting concepts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
