ABOUT THE JOB 

Cirrus Aircraft is currently seeking an Engineering Project Analyst Co-Op in Duluth, MN.

As the home to our corporate headquarters, Duluth is a four-season city on the western tip of Lake Superior and was voted “Best Town” by Outside Magazine. The splendor of the largest freshwater lake in the world offers a multitude of outdoor activities for adventure or rejuvenation. Timeframe: May 2024 through December 2024
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm; Flexibility can be given to work part-time during the fall semester.

DAY IN THE LIFE

The Engineering Project Analyst Co-Op will support the Product Development team through daily interaction with Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, and Program Management to establish/improve Bill of Materials project cost, ordering, and logistics processes for new product development. Additional duties include, but are not limited to invoice processing, tracking planned vs. actual spends, and supporting prototype builds. This Co-Op will report to the Product Development Program Manager.

ABOUT YOU

  • Current junior or senior pursuing a degree in engineering, accounting, finance or other relevant degree OR within 6 months of graduation.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, cost accounting, and basic knowledge of CAD programs/Bill of Materials.
  • Aviation experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with any 3D CAD package is preferred.
  • Basic understanding or ability to learn concepts for Bill of Materials costing, project metrics, and target control dashboards.
  • Ability to perform cost studies for alternative design concepts.
  • Capability for data acquisition, data entry, detailed data analysis, and report writing.
  • Working in a multi-function team in support of complete advanced design development.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to complete the entire duration of co-op.
  • Must be able to secure local housing for duration of co-op.
