Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Payroll Representative is responsible for the transactional processing of the bi-weekly payroll for 1,100 associates for a multiple site multiple state business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Timely process of the bi-weekly payroll
• Review of payroll changes to ensure accuracy of pay.
• Manages the Timekeeper process, PTO and user connectivity
• Review New Hires for accuracy
• Distribution of the labor distribution report
• Drives the bonus/commission data upload process
• Leads Manual check processing
• Responds to associate questions regarding payroll related issues such as pay and paid-time-off.
• Prepares and file quarterly and semi-annual payroll tax reports
• Balances quarterly and yearly payroll tax reports
• Communicates with co-workers, management, residents, vendors, and all outside contacts in a courteous and professional manner
• Maintains confidentiality of co-workers, management, owners, past and current residents, vendors, and all outside contacts
• Provides payroll information for external audits
• Provides special management reports when necessary

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• College Degree preferred.  3-5 years of payroll/accounting experience
• Experience with Workday software (preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures, federal and state labor compliance laws.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll processes is preferred.
• Strong accounting and reconciliation experience.
• Organization and strong work ethic.
• Team player, customer focused and high level of integrity.
• Ability to efficiently multi-task.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees within the company.
