SUMMARY

The Cycle Count Specialist is responsible for day-to-day cycle count activity including root cause analysis, printing, entering, and running daily and weekly reports. Cycle Count Specialists are also responsible to elevate any discrepancies according to our set standard of sign offs and are also an integral part of the physical inventory process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs and monitors product inventories and cycle count in the parts warehouse; and ensures materials align with the established lists and documents, maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity.

• Conducts inventory reviews and assessments, uses specific software to assess product inventories, measures and weighs products, maintains records, opens and re-packages shipments, organizes products according to procedures, locates lost materials, and reports inconsistent or damaged materials.

• Operates material handling equipment including forklifts, Drexel, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies.

• Operates large powered industrial equipment in tight and congested areas.

• Utilizing JDE and Excel on an intermediate level for data entry and running reports.

• Audits inventory for discrepancies and makes necessary corrections to inventory count.

• Backs up other Cycle Count Specialists as needed.

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of safety/quality practices and expectations.

• Ability to do intermediate administrative work (i.e., filing, organization, etc.).

• Basic of basic computer skills (i.e., email, data entry, etc.).

• Intermediate knowledge of JDE and Excel.

• Ability to effectively communicate to team members across multiple departments.

• Skill in problem solving at an intermediate level.

• Ability to successfully pass written and driving forklift testing to become a certified forklift driver.

• Previous inventory auditing and counting experience.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High school education or any equivalent combination of training and experience

• Basic reading and math

PREFERRED:

• Minimum of 3 months experience.

• Forklift experience (Stand up/Sit down), Drexel experience.

• Ability to conduct physical inventory.

• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.

• Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing techniques including: 5S, FIFO and Kanban processes

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed and may require walking primarily on a level surface for a significant amount of the day (>8 hours). This position requires frequent reaching with occasional reaching above shoulder heights. May be occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required.

This position may also require excellent eyesight to identify colors, depth, and dimension in the day-to-day work of a Cycle County Specialist.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The primary work environment provides for co-worker interactions, ambient room temperature, excellent lighting, and traditional assembly line production equipment as found in a typical manufacturing environment. The area is free from oils and other disagreeable elements. Certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, gloves, and mandatory hearing protection. Safety glasses and closed toed and closed heel shoes are required in all manufacturing areas.
