About this job

Position Summary:
This individual provides quick, efficient and pleasant service of food and beverage to residents and guests ensuring the needs of both are met. They also must keep dining room areas clean and sanitary according to Senior Lifestyle policies & procedures, County, and State Guidelines.

 

SHIFTS NEEDED: 

  • Shifts needed: Mon-Fri 3PM-8PM, Saturdays 6AM-2PM, Saturday 10:45-4PM or Sundays 10AM-3PM.  The more availability you have during these times, the better.  

Essential Functions:
• Accept food order, communicate to kitchen and deliver food and beverage to residents
and/or guests in a timely manner in accordance with Company policies, procedures and
standards.
• Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.
• Actively buss tables and reset tables in accordance to Company policies, procedures
and Standards.
• Complete assigned side work and checks out with Manager at completion of shift.
• Collaborate with all staff to ensure timely room service according to our Tray
Service/Pick Up related policy.
• Maintain clean and sanitary condition of work areas, china and equipment. Comply with
all state and local health codes for food handling. Inspect end of shift duties are
completed by staff. Adhere to the personal hygiene policy.
• Attend all required training, in services, and staff meetings. Meet all department training
standards through regulatory training and/or other necessary training modules as
required.
• Train and/or revisit training with staff.

• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-
workers.

• All dietary department personnel should follow safety precautions to prevent accidents in food preparation according to our accident prevention in food preparation and prevention of back injury policy.
• Affect budgets by avoiding waste of products and time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
Level of Formal Education: High School Diploma
Area of Study: General
Years of Experience: Entry-level (0-3 years)
Type of Experience: Previous food service experience preferred

Special Certifications: Obtain/hold any required local, state, and/or county required food
handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.
Language Skills: Capable of communicating efficiently and properly.
Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills if needed for POS system and ADP.

Skills and Ability:
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such
action.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.

Information Systems: Basic computer skills if needed for POS system and ADP.Personal Attributes: Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward customers and co-
workers.
