Finance & Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities of Finance & Accounting Analyst:

  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis.
  • Provide analysis, research, and guidance regarding monthly KPIs.
  • Assists in building, tracking, and maintaining an actionable pipeline of dental practices.
  • Conducts due diligence to execute acquisitions.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.) taking

into account company’s goals and financial standing

  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
  • Identify trends, advise company, and recommend actions based on sound analysis.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries, financial statements, account reconciliations.
  • Complete various financial close activities of the general ledger and A/R.
  • Review financial results and prepare variance analysis and explanations.
  • Recommend improvements to current processes and ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual covenant reporting.
  • Assists in the preparation of presentations and internal and external reporting packages.
  • Assist with calculation of provider payrolls.
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors & assist with annual audit test work.
  • Perform various month end account reconciliations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred Experience of Finance & Accounting Analyst

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Strong quantitative acumen with a firm understanding of financial modeling and related analysis.
  • 1-3+ years relevant, progressive experience in Accounting, Business Administration and/or Finance
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and analyze financial reports.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications
  • Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
  • Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
