Finance & Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities of Finance & Accounting Analyst:
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis.
- Provide analysis, research, and guidance regarding monthly KPIs.
- Assists in building, tracking, and maintaining an actionable pipeline of dental practices.
- Conducts due diligence to execute acquisitions.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.) taking
into account company’s goals and financial standing
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Identify trends, advise company, and recommend actions based on sound analysis.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries, financial statements, account reconciliations.
- Complete various financial close activities of the general ledger and A/R.
- Review financial results and prepare variance analysis and explanations.
- Recommend improvements to current processes and ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual covenant reporting.
- Assists in the preparation of presentations and internal and external reporting packages.
- Assist with calculation of provider payrolls.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors & assist with annual audit test work.
- Perform various month end account reconciliations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience of Finance & Accounting Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Strong quantitative acumen with a firm understanding of financial modeling and related analysis.
- 1-3+ years relevant, progressive experience in Accounting, Business Administration and/or Finance
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports.
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications
- Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
- Knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
- Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
