Position Description

Job Summary:

The Traffic Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing operations related to heavy highway construction projects. The Traffic Control Supervisor will ensure traffic control devices are properly installed and maintained to divert pedestrians and motor vehicles from work zones for the entire duration of the project. This position is physically demanding and requires high attention to detail.


Job Duties:

    • Properly sets up, maintain, and break down traffic control devices for projects.
    • Oversees operations related to lane closures, road closure barricades, cones, message boards, and handheld flagging devices.
    • Communicates with superintendents and foremen to ensure safety measures are followed.
    • Reads traffic control plans to determine required equipment for individual projects.
    • Accurately compiles daily documentation.
    • Loads company truck with proper equipment at the start of each day.

Position Requirements

Requirements:

    • Must have valid or prior ATSSA – Certifications: Flagger and Traffic Control Supervisor
    • Must have 2+ years of traffic control experience.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
    • Must be willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
    • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
