Job Description & Duties:

Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the used-vehicle sales department and ensure the optimal performance of all employees within the department.

Essential Duties:
Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide training, motivation, counseling, and performance monitoring for all used car sales personnel.
  • Determine pricing for vehicles and conduct vehicle appraisals.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in desk deals.
  • Develop aggressive yet achievable monthly goals and objectives for the department and individual salespeople, offering necessary support to achieve these targets.
  • Create improvement programs for salespeople experiencing challenges in meeting their goals.
  • Ensure adherence to dealership policies and procedures by sales staff.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager to maintain a balanced inventory based on customer and market trends.
  • Assist sales staff in closing deals as needed.
  • Co-plan and lead sales meetings with the sales manager.
  • Stay informed about and comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing vehicle sales.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration with all other departments.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and enforce uniform policy within the department.
  • Attend managers meetings as required.
