About this job
Janitor
POAH Communities is seeking a Janitor in Elgin, IL. The primary responsibility of the janitorial functions will be related to maintaining a clean property. The position will require some light maintenance responsibilities as well.
Responsibilities
- Respond to housekeeping and basic repair work orders in a timely manner, resolving all issues and closing work orders within 24 hours of submission
- Transport equipment, furnishings and appliances to work area
- Assist with the turning of vacant units within three business days
- Perform clean-up of work areas
- Maintain grounds through trash management and landscaping
- Prepare for/respond to weather phenomena such as hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, snow, ice, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Strong verbal, written and customer service communications are essential.
- Positive attitude.
- Team player.
- Willingness to learn.
