JOB FUNCTIONS:

Oversees and manages the daily responsibilities of the stockroom team and manages the day-to-day operations of the stockroom warehouse to include pulling, receiving, and stocking parts to fulfill orders for the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·        Supervise stockroom employees and oversee all operations to ensure daily activities are being met.

·         Work closely with the Purchasing manager by managing, evaluating, and reporting stockroom productivity.

·        Escalate any issues to the Purchasing manager as well as recommendations for solutions.

·        Identifies areas of improvement and collaborates with the Purchasing manager for process implementation.

·        Maintains an organized and clean stockroom and office as well as making sure employee’s workstations are well stocked, clean, and organized.

·        Ensure that stockroom equipment is in good working condition and properly maintained.

·        Trains, leads, and mentors team members in order to help them be productive and efficient.

·        Collaborates with the Production managers and leads to ensure necessary tools and supplies are available.

·         Manages inventory levels by conducting cycle counts, reviewing receiving documents, and monitoring ERP transactions.

·        Communicates with the Purchasing team for questions or issues on PO’s and packing slips, damaged or quality issues with deliveries, and min/max level suggestions to ensure they align with demand and production requirements.

·        Evaluates and handles discrepancies on packing slips and/or invoices to help the Accounting team.

·        Helps the front office when issues arise in the system for jobs showing errors in the shipping function.

·        Coordinates with the company driver for materials moving between 5 facilities, pickups from suppliers, and inventory transfers.

REQUIRED SKILLS

·        At least 1 year of experience as a stockroom supervisor or related field.

·        Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

·        Highly detail-oriented and strives for accuracy.

·        Knowledge of stockroom principles, operations, and best practices.

·        Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

·        Good verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.

·        Time management skills and ability to delegate work assignments.

·        Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

·        The employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.

·        The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hour days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.

·        Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperatures reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.

·        Must be able to work under time constraints and deadlines.

·        Must be able to work in a dusty environment.

·        Must be able to read measurements in inches.

·        Must be able to read and write English.

·        A certain amount of confidentiality and independent judgment is necessary.
