JOB SUMMARY

The Auto Body Paint Prepper prepares vehicles as assigned by management following industry standards and best practices. This position delivers the highest quality prepping and buffing while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)

Education and/or years’ experience required:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of one year auto body experience
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record (must be insurable)

Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic personal computer skills including Email and Microsoft Office
  • Automotive certification or designation preferred
  • Post-secondary education in collision repair preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to comprehend simple math, reading and science to understand measuring
  • Ability to understand and follow manufacturer’s procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable):

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Restores damaged vehicles to their original appearance.
  • Uses hand tools and power tools to prep and buff vehicles.
  • Sand/scuff primed/painted panels (for blend) to prepare for painting.
  • Tapes vehicles and or parts for painting.
  • Ability to work with a variety of metals and plastics.
  • Buffs painted jobs.
  • Pin stripes, install decals/clear vehicle protectors.
  • Willing to paint when painter is unavailable or as needed.
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to hazardous materials.
  • Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
  • Performs Wallwork Inc. wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.
  • Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
