Maintenance Technician - Full-time

KeyStaff is hiring for a Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX!

Pay: $23/hr

Shift: M-F 8am-5pm

Duties:

• Support predictive maintenance activities by planning/scheduling future work projects with site customers
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties, diagnose faulty operation and makes recommendations to maintenance crew to ensure quality of work matches customer specifications
• Research new products and practices and develops new plant maintenance procedures to detect and prevent equipment problems
• Present ideas and potential solutions in order to develop and expand total predictive maintenance initiatives
• Support equipment owners, engineers and projects in developing appropriate maintenance strategies for existing and new equipment

Requirements:

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Post Highschool course work or apprenticeship in technical or mechanical area is preferred.
• 1 or more years' experience as Maintenance in an industrial environment.
• Ability to communicate uncomplicated data, instructions, production results, quality issues, and similar subjects both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to distinguish between the colors of red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and violet.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• High Degree of manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination.
• Hands on familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to calculate basic mathematic functions and formulas. Can calculate rations, percentages, and fractions.
• Uses Excel spreadsheet and can write simple formulas and create spreadsheets.
