What we are looking for in YOU:

  • Proven experience in photography and photo editing with a strong understanding of photography principles including composition, lighting, and color theory.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant editing software, with a deep understanding of their tools and functionalities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to editing, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all deliverables.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for continuously improving editing techniques and workflows.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Slides, Docs) is a plus
  • Positive attitude with a desire to ask questions and learn

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 years of photography experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in photography, visual arts, graphic design, or a related field is preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience using a Digital Asset Management tool is preferred

A day in the life:

  • Capture professional-quality photographs, including headshots, candid office shots, and inventory photos, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Manage all aspects of the photography process, including setting up equipment, directing subjects, and selecting optimal shooting locations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Creative to understand the vision and requirements, while providing expert advice and recommendations when necessary.
  • Maintain organized file management systems and documentation for all editing projects, ensuring easy access and retrieval of files as needed.
  • Edit and enhance images provided by amateur photographers from all Lamar offices around the country. They will ensure high-quality outputs that meet Lamar's brand and photography guidelines.
  • Manage editing projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and delivering exceptional results within designated timeframes.
  • Stay updated on the latest photography trends, editing techniques and efficiency to continually improve skills and workflows.
  • Assist with other photography-related tasks and projects as assigned by the management team.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The primary work environment is an office.
  • The specific physical demands/requirements of the job include: lifting less than 25% of the time, reading, color distinction, acuity, sitting greater than 50% of the time, and talking.
  • The typical percentage of time spent traveling and spending nights away from home is less than 10%.
