Nesco is seeking the right candidates for our client in Dayville CT for a Warehouse/Picking/Selector opening. This is a temp to hire position for the right person.
Hours are Mon-Fri 7 am to 3:30 pm with some overtime.
Position Summary: As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to support inbound and outbound operations. These tasks include customer order processing, picking, packing, stocking, quality control, and loading/unloading freight. You will work under the direction of warehouse leadership to ensure timely and accurate completion of duties.
What You'll Do:
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Participate in scheduled physical inventories
- Maintain basic housekeeping in designated warehouse areas
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
- Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities
Skills Required:
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays based on business needs
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail and adherence to quality standards
- Capability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally
- Physical stamina to stand and walk throughout scheduled shifts, with periodic breaks
Physical Demands:
- Moderate physical effort and manual dexterity required
- Regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry products weighing up to 70 pounds by hand
- Use of personal computer and RF scanners
Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting with seasonal temperature variations
- Operation of warehouse equipment may be necessary
- Adherence to safety procedures to mitigate potential hazards
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
