Compensation: Starting pay of $77,000 - $100,000/yr + tri-annual performance-based bonuses!
Location: Either Sidney, NE; Minneapolis, KS; or South Houston, TX office dependent on candidate’s location.

Huyett is a progressive and growing master distributor and manufacturer of industrial fasteners. We are looking for a results-driven professional who has excellent communication skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. This is a dynamic position where the incumbent will support the development of an expanding global supply chain network, with a mission to take our fastener distribution capabilities to the next level by sourcing new vendors that meet company quality standards, and customer expectations. This individual must be a team-player and perform assigned tasks accurately, completely, and in timely fashion. We offer these benefits and more:

Responsibilities:

• Source, qualify, and develop new suppliers via thorough research, analysis, and communication, ensuring alignment to Company standards.
• Develop and implement corporate sourcing strategies and processes.
• Support the development of target costs to verify and validate new sources.
• Effectively negotiation and manage relationships with potential and existing vendors.
• Serve as liaison relative to company procurement issues.
• Manage supplier performance, pricing, and delivery issues.
• Manage vendor and product data via relevant systems.
• Mediate and drive resolution to quality issues.
• Perform all other related duties as required.

This position also entails the future prospect of managerial responsibility. As Huyett’s sourcing function grows, the need may arise for Sourcing individual contributors to directly report to this incumbent.

Ideal Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Degree in Business, Finance, or other relevant fields preferred.
• Prior sourcing, purchasing, or vendor management experience preferred.
• Prior industrial fastener industry experience preferred, not required.
• Strong administrative skills and competent personal organization.
• Excellent time management and problem resolution skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs experience.
• Internal sense of customer service and team play.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with supervisors on completion of tasks.
• Ability to work in a team setting while taking responsibility for personal productivity.
• Ability to think 'on your feet' and employ creativity, resourcefulness and discipline.
• Ability to work at a desk full-time.
