Smith & Loveless is united under one cause: “Protecting Water. Protecting People.” We are seeking Manufacturing Warehouse Manager to partner with our experienced production control teams in this environmentally focused industry.

A Manufacturing Warehouse Manager at Smith and Loveless is responsible for managing, executing, and optimizing Warehouse strategies within the receiving, order fulfillment, parts picking, shipping/loadout, and transportation departments. As a member of the leadership team, the Manager will continually identify ways to improve our operations and ensure that both internal and external customers receive the highest level of service.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Logistic
  • Previous Warehouse and Inventory Management Experience
  • Previous experience working with ERP System(s)
  • Previous Leadership experience coaching team members on performance and helping improve overall individual and team performance.
  • Strong attention to detail and Problem-Solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Previous Custom and/or Made-to-Order Warehousing Industry Experience Preferred

Job duties

  • Responsible for management, staffing, and ensuring the execution and accountability of timely deliver, accuracy, KPI’s, regulations and associate safety.
  • Actively engage and interact with other department leaders to implement work process design and flow to improve performance and overall efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop hourly employees to improve capability and performance to create the greatest value.
  • Sustains a cohesive and effective team within his or her area of responsibility by managing and developing associates to achieve high quality and productivity in concert with the company’s goals and company values.
  • Responsible for managing inventory costs, cycle counting, making inventory adjustments, and overseeing daily operations with an emphasis on safety, quality, production, and cleanliness.
  • Participate in skills qualification and knowledge evaluation assessments to assist in talent gap closure plans and ensure timely skills advancement and learning.
  • Assist in managing competing priorities in a flow-to-work environment and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff and support personnel.
  • Manage safety in an operations setting (i.e., setting and communicating work standards, teaching the right way to do a job, determining who’s qualified to do the work, observing employees in action, providing performance feedback, positive and corrective), rolling out safety policies/procedures, managing safety suggestions, and dealing with injuries and near misses.)
  • Utilize effective communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills to acquire, share, and apply knowledge (including effective measures) to improve decisions and results.

SOP’s – Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions

  • Complete SOP’s
  • Provide feedback on documented processes by recommending process changes.
  • Ensure that customer specific processes and work instructions are developed, documented, and reviewed with affected employees.

Quality

  • No Customer loss due to Quality / Performance issues
  • Positive Customer Experience
  • Corrective Action Requests – CARs
  • Meet or exceed KPI metric Objectives.
  • Ensure all information sent out of the department is accurate and any errors are tracked
