As a Prep Cook/Dishwasher, you will have the opportunity to connect with and positively impact the lives of our residents daily! You will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious, appealing, and delicious meals for our residents, team members, prospective residents, families, and guests. Our Kitchen Team works closely with the Executive Chef to create everything from traditional comfort food to unique and exciting culinary options from around the globe, and a seasonal menu that changes quarterly using fresh local ingredients. We focus on cooking and baking almost everything from scratch.

What will you do as a Prep Cook/Dishwasher?

Be a part of a compassionate and high-performing team to redefine senior living and deliver top-level results.

60% Prep Cook, and 40% Dishwasher

• Perform routine kitchen tasks.
• Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping fruit and vegetables, cutting meat, and practicing sanitary work habits.

• Undertake basic cooking duties, such a mixing together salads and cold foods, baking and grilling off meats.
• Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
• Set up as well as breaking down work areas in a timely manner.
• Keep all stations clean and sanitized.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
• Aid in all kitchen operations as needed.

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

• Positive team player attitude and love working with people!
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife handling skills.
• Ability to read and execute a recipe.
• Food Handler Card with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
• Creative culinary and prep skills are a plus.
• Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus.
