This is a remote role; however, potential employees MUST reside in California.


What You Will Be Doing:

Under direct supervision, responsible for overseeing the configuration and maintenance of the contracting database to ensure data accuracy, and the timely and accurate processing of provider contracts, contract amendments and provider data.

  • Enters and oversees the entry of new and updated data and documents, including contracts and contract templates.
  • Compiles, develops and produces ad hoc and scheduled internal and external reports.
  • Updates and maintains system functionality and configuration, obtaining approval for non-routine items; identifies and resolves issues and incidents.
  • Manages or assists in the implementation of system releases, upgrades or new software.
  • Develops and implements procedures, guidelines and other artifacts; ensures dissemination among staff.
  • Prepares for internal and external audits, and participates in preparation of recommendations, responses and reports.
  • Conducts audits to ensure accuracy and compliance of data and information, including related systems.
  • Responds to questions related to provider information required for accurate and timely provider input into QNXT.
  • Prepares and distributes contracts and other documents, including mass mailings.

  • In-depth knowledge of health plan contracting processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of provider contract components and language.
  • Basic knowledge of database concepts and terminology, including interrelationships between data fields.
  • Ability to enter, manipulate, extract and generate reports from relational databases.
  • Basic knowledge of audit processes, and ability to effectively implement and maintain them.
  • Basic analytical skills, including the ability to perform routine analysis, using identified data, information and/or issues, and provide recommendations.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of credentialing and authorization systems and data.
  • Knowledge of provider and/or facility contract and payment structures, and reimbursement practices, including capitation.
  • Knowledge of medical coding and terminology.
  • Knowledge of managed care and/or state sponsored programs and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use report generation software such as Business Objects and/or SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS).

What You Have:

Education and Experience

Required

  • Associate’s Degree; and
  • At least two years in a similar position; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in managed care and/or Medi-Cal
