Primoris Engineering is searching for an experienced Project Manager to support our office in Tyler, Texas. This position will manage projects consisting of a wide scope of work in the engineering, procurement, and construction of Refinery, Syngas, and/or Renewable Projects.

The Project Manager is responsible for tracking the performance of every phase of one or more projects, including the planning & organization, scheduling, procurement of materials, fabrication & construction management, subcontractor management, and direction/supervision of the engineering and design disciplines, all while keeping a sharp eye on quality and safety. Project scope will begin with the early front-end engineering process and continue on until the final turnover phase is reached.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for compliance with all Corporate/Client Safety and Quality Procedures
  • Leading project teams, coordinating multiple engineering disciplines to ensure efficient use of staff
  • Ensuring contract deliverables, schedules, and project budgets are met
  • Developing Project Execution Plans, Client Reports, and other necessary documents
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, potential clients, and other staff
  • Managing team efforts for proposals, work processes, presentations, contract reviews and other activities as appropriate

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management
  • Minimum of ten years of experience managing EPC projects in the refining/petrochem/syngas/renewables field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed to ensure successful project execution.
