Custom Planting - Floral Container Design

Custom Planting Staff Member 

We are hiring a floral designer to work in our Custom Planting department this spring season. The position begins in April and runs through early July. If interested in staying on, additional work opportunities begin in September. 

Job Details:

• Designer will work with guests to develop a design suited to the guest’s light exposures, container location, lifestyle and guest’s taste.
• Designer will be responsible for gathering all the materials and planting the guest’s containers as agreed upon by the guest.
• Designer will help maintain our grab and go planters by pruning, watering and replacing plants as needed.
• Designer will help with Guest Service in the Garden Center.
• Designer will help with planting classes.

Job Requirements:

• Floral Design experience and guest service experience required.
• Educational background in horticulture or related green industry experience preferred but not required.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Applicant must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Positive attitude, high energy, hardworking and a team player is a must.
