Position: Transitions Job Coach- Project Search  
Supervised By: Director, Transition Services 
Positions Supv’d: None

Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey with OE Enterprises? Join our dynamic Transitions Team as a Project Search Skills Trainer and make a real impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities in their crucial last year of high school. 

OE partners with local school systems, host businesses, Vocational Rehabilitation, and management care organizations for Project Search. As a Project Search Skills Trainer, your mission is to empower and guide students through their transition into adulthood. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting these individuals as they complete internships, developing essential work skills for a successful future in employment. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide individualized support for students to acquire competitive and marketable employment skills. 

  • Utilize effective support techniques, including prompting, fading, and appropriate accommodations based on student needs.  

  • Communicate with all parties to ensure student and programmatic success  

  • Collect, evaluate, and report student performance 

  • Maintain and submit documentation as required 

  • Work with school staff for student support and growth 

  • Network with local businesses for programmatic activities and student employment opportunities  

  • Provide job coaching for students placed in community employment. 

  • Trains students in grooming, hygiene, communication, interviewing, and behavior related to successful employment. 

  • Assist families and students in identifying and accessing services  

  • Stay informed about program performance expectations and stay current on trends in youth and workforce development 

  • Acts as a positive role model 

  • Maintains a safe work environment  

This position is in partnership with local schools and a medical facility. The position will be on-site at the medical facility, working with students with disabilities to support them on internships.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer an Associates Degree/Bachelor's Degree in a human service-related field with 3 years experience working with youth in transition-related services and/or experience working with individuals with disabilities or a comparable combination of education and experience. Background check, acceptable driving record, Driver's License, and reliable vehicle required
