Job Description:

Manage all Cage operations, Count Room, Drop Team, and Main Bankers. Ensure compliance with all regulations and procedures are followed during shifts and that excellent guest service is provided. Analyze and identify potential security and compliance issues to improve operations. Forecast current and future trends to ensure adequate staffing models through growth periods or increased cash flows based on casino promotions. Work closely with security and surveillance to ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and vendors throughout operating hours.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all Cage Managers, Supervisors, Cashiers, Count Team, and Main Bank Employees.
  • Ensure all New York State Video Lottery regulations and procedures are being followed.
  • Schedule all shifts for the cage.
  • Ensures that compliance with regulations, internal control submissions, Company, and department policies and procedures are always adhered to.
  • Ensures the integrity and overall security of the Cage departments. This includes the daily reconciliation of the Main Bank, the maintenance of the outstanding voucher report, the monitoring of all cage variances, and the reporting of all variances more than $100 for the Casino Cage are prepared timely and accurately in accordance with internal control submissions.
  • Supervise all schedules for Cage Managers, Supervisors, Cashiers, Count Team, and Main Bank.
  • Handle flow and tracking of all cash through the cages.
  • Direct Cashiers during shift.
  • Maintain an accurate cash balance.
  • Train current and new associates in proper procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain a safe work and guest environment.
  • Treats each person, guest, or associate as an individual and in a professional manner.
  • Contacts and meets with vendors for demonstrations of new equipment and technology.
  • Must role model company guest service program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree equivalent experience in Finance, Banking or Accounting preferred.
  • 5 years + of experience working in a casino cage preferred.
  • 5-8 years’ management experience required in the finance, banking or casino industry.
  • Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License.

Other

  • Intermediate computer skills, including e-mail, word, excel spreadsheets, data input and record keeping.
  • Basic Math skills, addition, and subtraction.
  • Able to handle large money transactions.
  • Able to lift and carry thirty pounds occasionally.
