Salary:

Central Plains Milling (CPM), an LLC of Frontier Cooperative, is hiring for a Class A Commercial Truck Driver at our Feed Mill located in Columbus, NE. This position is local and offers opportunities for training and advancement.

 

In this role, you are responsible for:

  • Safely and efficiently operate equipment & trucks as per DOT/FMCSA, state, & Federal regulations &follow proper training procedures for all equipment used in the Mill.
  • Hauling specialized feed & grain from the CPM Mills to customers and other CPM and/or Frontier locations.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly routine preventative maintenance tasks are maintained & documented.
  • Ensure the Feed Truck is kept clean & compliant at all times. 
  • This position assists the Mill Operations with housekeeping, preventative & grounds maintenance.  
  • Assist in repair & maintenance projects with the maintenance staff and contractors
  • Ensure company safety practices are followed, along with OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, State & Federal regulations.  
  • Perform any other related operational processes and tasks deemed necessary
  • Provide exceptional Customer Service to our Patrons, Customers, & Employees in a courteous & professional manner

Minimum Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Class A CDL required.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. on occasion, sit, stand, stoop, bend, walk, crawl, reach, push, pull, stretch, climb ladders & stairs, & work in & around confined spaces such as bins, when needed.
  • Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, farming equipment & other machinery.
  • Ability to work in & around grain, dust, & with Nebraska’s everchanging adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to work long hours to meet business demands.
  • Farming, Grain-Handling, Feed Mill &/or Elevator experience is helpful, but not necessary.
