Summary: The Regional Director of Dining Services supports and guides the overall planning and direction of the dining services programs in the assigned region, establishes positive and effective relationships that contribute to the success of the dining services programs, and promotes the development of the dining services supervisors/managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Communicates and promotes Pyramid Healthcare’s core values and mission.

· Provides remote and on-site support in collaboration with the executive director and dining supervisor/manager to promote success towards growth.

· Initiates and leads improvement efforts at the facility and division level using tools of continuous improvement; communicates a vision and need for change that generates commitment to the process and provides resources to assist in implementation of initiatives.

· Monitors and analyzes budgetary performance and trends; works with facility to develop strategies to effectively manage department costs related to food, supplies, personnel, and equipment resources.

· Conducts and documents regular meetings with dining supervisors and executive directors where pertinent information such as audit results, recommendations, resources and policy and procedures are communicated.

· Coordinates and participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures and standards of quality as it relates to dining services.

· Collaborates with executive director to establish coverage and succession planning for the dining services manager/supervisor position in order to minimize the impact of vacancies.

· Approaches problems and challenges with innovation and creativity, applies tools, such as RCA and 8D to reinforce continual improvement efforts.

· Analyzes data to assess dining services program performance against established standards; develops corrective action plans with supervisors and executive directors and monitors progress.

· Provides a monthly KPI scorecard to each facility indicating performance including food cost per patient day (PPD), quality of meals, client feedback/satisfaction, compliance audit results, and employee satisfaction.

· Maintains familiarity with applicable rules, regulations, and accreditation issues.

· Conducts audits and supports compliance with regulatory guidelines, policies and procedures; recommends and develops plans of actions as necessary on a timely basis.

· Analyzes client satisfaction data to identify opportunities for improvement related to the quality of food and services

· Supports the opening and expansion of new and existing programs.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education, Licensure, & Experience

· Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in culinary arts, hospitality, nutrition, business or other related field.

· At least 5-10 years of progressive food service industry management experience required. Experience managing large or multiple programs preferred.

· Serv-Safe Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire. Serv-safe proctor/instructor preferred.

· Valid driver’s license required with the ability to travel in assigned region as necessary.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom carry up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. This position will require regional travel. This position will be scheduled based on operational need & will be required to provide own transportation. Incumbent may be exposed to viruses, diseases, and/or infections from clients in the work environment. Incumbent may be exposed to traumatic situations (i.e. psychiatric).
