Salary: $5,017.90 - $8,169.04 Monthly DOE

Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Children and Family Therapist to provide direct treatment services in a clinic setting to clients with mental and emotional disturbances which includes children, adolescents and their families. This position provides administration and evaluation of psychological tests, develops individual treatment plans, and provides counseling and individual, family and/or group therapy.


CHD WILL PAY UP TO $3500 IN RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AND UP TO $2000 TOWARDS FIRST MONTH RENT!

The Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work or related field.*
  • Two years of relevant mental health experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the required duties and which would qualify the individual to be designated as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
  • Willing to work with all ages of children (0-18).
  • Certified as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor or begin certification process upon hire.
  • LCSW/LPC or willingness to pursue licensure.
  • Upon completion of Masters, must be credentialed as a mental health investigator or willing to pursue credentialing.
  • Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and pass a criminal history check and drug screening.
  • *If masters degree has not been obtained, to be considered for this position you must be attending school and have at least 30 credits based on quarter completed, or 20 credits based on semester completed

 

 

The Job Duties:

  • Interview clients, families and others to accumulate information for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provides individual, family and group counseling and psychotherapy.
  • Conducts psychological tests; prepares clinical evaluations and interprets results for the family and other agencies.
  • Develops individual treatment plans, which may include individual, group therapy and skills training; develops individual goals and methods to attain those goals; analyzes client progress.
  • Maintains individual case records with progress notes and other pertinent information regarding the diagnosis, treatment plan or termination; completes reports as required.
  • Conducts emergency intervention and crisis counseling.
  • Meets with CHD Behavioral Health Team for clinical supervision and program development.
  • Participate on the Crisis Team rotation for back up of night time and day time crisis workers.
