We are looking for an energetic Chef de Cuisine / Executive Sous Chef to join our team. This role includes managing the kitchen for dinner service, cafe and event operations to ensure the highest levels of quality, service, and profitability. The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership and culinary skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering innovative dining experiences. We require a Chef who is capable of overseeing the entire kitchen and ensuring food safety laws are followed, as well as being successful at implementing new menu items and recipes. Passion for food and the ability to inspire others to be innovative and enthusiastic kitchen professionals are highly valued skills. To be considered for the position, you must have executive chef experience, Chef de Cuisine, or sous chef experience at a top-notch restaurant. Compensation:$75,000 - $85,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Supervise all food preparation in the kitchen, including procedures, portioning, garnishing, and ensure that all meals and dishes are attractively presented
- Be responsible for the overall success of the daily culinary operations, with an emphasis on surpassing guest expectations while driving revenue and profit
- Incorporate different ingredients in a creative way to produce fresh and innovative menu items and specials
- Set and monitor performance criteria for team members, as well as provide advice and direction to support and maintain an efficient kitchen
- Manage controllable department expenses such as food, supplies, uniforms, equipment, and collaborate with vendors to achieve the highest quality products at the most reasonable price
- Must have 7-8 years of culinary experience for this role
- Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED
- This role requires experience building, motivating, and leading a team
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers
- Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements
The Radical is opened in the River Arts District, and we're looking to add to our great team of hospitality professionals! Along with our hotel, we have bars, restaurants, and a cafe. An elevated wood fire grill restaurant Golden Hour, the sunset view The Roof bar with DJs and events, and Afterglow serving coffee and pastries during the day and cocktails and light bites into the night.
