CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Perform diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plants facility equipment to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various production machines, including thermoforms, injection molding, CNC/CMS, packaging, pneumatic conveyor systems, pumps, and compressor equipment, while complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas. Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic skills.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production. Minimize the downtime of production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot more complex equipment issues and perform equipment failure analysis.
  • Maintain documentation on work orders, corrective actions, and PM’s (pro-active and reactive work orders), or assigned projects.
  • Perform required maintenance and service by reading/interpreting equipment manuals, work orders, technical manuals, blueprints, CAD drawings, and electrical diagrams.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED is required, or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • 4+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience is required.
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting and repair on 110-220-and 440-volt industrial equipment.
  • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience.
  • Powered Industrial Truck, forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift experience is preferred.

Required Licenses

  • CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) Certification is preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Ability to work under pressure and respond with urgency.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing software.
  • Skilled in general PC operation/navigation and application specific experience including SharePoint and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals. Ability to respond to complaints. Ability to write, speak, and comprehend Spanish is required. Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English is optional. Ability to interact with a cross-functional diverse team throughout the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawing and prints.

  • Occasional travel may be required.
