Assistant Store Leader

GENERAL SUMMARY: Assistant Store Leaders are responsible for maintaining excellent customer service, cash register operations, sales floor functions, and safeguarding company assets in an accurate and efficient manner. Works cooperatively with the Store Leader in store operation by performing assigned advanced tasks and provides leadership to store personnel.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Foster and demonstrate a positive team environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by acknowledging, assisting, and thanking customers.
  • Perform register tasks, when needed, including verifying funds, accurately counting down register, maintaining cleanliness and stocking register areas.
  • Maintain store appearance to company standards including sales floor, coolers, storeroom, and parking lot.
  • Accurately and efficiently follow company merchandising standards. i.e.: product placement and stock rotation.
  • Follow proper phone etiquette.
  • Follow all company loss prevention procedures.
  • Resolve customer issues in compliance with proper policies and procedures.
  • Train employees in a thorough, organized, and timely manner.
  • Responsible, as designated for directing the activities of store personnel; ensuring that all sales transactions are rung up and reported accurately.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on employee performance.
  • Work cooperatively with the Store Leader with implementation of customer service, cash control, inventory control, daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and security procedures.
  • Work cooperatively with Store Leader to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Work cooperatively with Store Leader to support the productivity of the store and the mission of the company.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to work all store operating hours.
  • Must be able to function independently in a work setting.
  • Must successfully complete all training classes.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with customers, team members and management staff.
  • Experience in Retail Management or Customer Service is a PLUS!
