Alamo Auto Supply is currently hiring an Automotive Installation Supervisor who has a minimum of 2 years' shop-management supervisory experience as well as at least 5 years of automotive installation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Purpose of Position:

Installation supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Cleveland installation facility that includes, installs, training and development of installation staff, policies and procedures

Primary Roles:

  • LMA
  • Create clarity of expectations and direction
  • Provide necessary tools for success
  • Have right meeting pulse with team and individuals
  • Focus on employee development
  • Reward and recognize both good and bad performance
  • Quality control
  • Following the scope of work and work order
  • Installing products to manufacturer specs
  • Providing technical support to the installation team
  • Labor productivity
  • Labor billed vs actual hours are met
  • Identify opportunities with products and installations
  • Labor utilization
  • To utilize the installation team 60% of the time on regular installations
  • Ensure installers are punching in and out of work orders
  • Preventative Maintenance of all equipment and safety
  • Forklifts, lifts, compressors, spray booth, and any other equipment used by the department.
  • Ensuring installers follow safe practices and utilizing equipment properly

Requirements:

The minimum requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an individual to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable amounts of training are provided.

  • High school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of automotive installation experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of shop management-related supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong people skills
  • Available to work extended hours

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position manages and drives budgets, materials, metrics, safety, processes. A supervisor is responsible to look after the work and performance of the whole unit or department. Leads the development of supervisors/employees. Supervisor has responsibility to counsel and authority to hire, fire, or promote.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Work Schedule:

Determined by assigned department. Weekends are included to meet the needs of the business. Travel may be required occasionally.
