Summary:
The Senior Accounts Payable Assistant will code invoices, prepare purchase orders, and reconcile billing statements along with other normal aspects of Accounts Payable. They will also oversee and provide training to the Accounts Payable team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Code and enter various invoices for payment.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders as necessary.
  • Reconcile billing statements.
  • Process, check payments credit card and online payments.
  • Work with vendors regarding any discrepancies on invoices/statements.
  • Monitor AP e-mail for invoices, statements, and other notifications.
  • Scan, name and attach various documents into the computer system.
  • Scan and file various files and documents.
  • Update, verify completeness and maintain vendor files, both electronic and hardcopy.
  • Organize all documentation for license plates and ordering plates as needed.
  • Adding/deleting vehicles and equipment to and from the insurance policy.
  • Complete all quarterly fuel tax reporting requirements and annual fuel tax renewal.
  • Other projects and initiatives that drive organizational goals and results.

Education, Certifications & Qualifications:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent ability to work in a team-fostered environment.
